The Planets

A musical interpretation poster for "Mars, Bringer of War" by Gustav Holst. This project uses type as image to express the underlying consistent rhythm and strong opposing forces that are exhibited within this composition. The secondary type utilizes structure but also has elements of asymmetry and movement. Structure was established first in black and white, with color applied later to bring out additional meaning.
